International Advisory CommitteeThe Carso Health Institute (CHI) has an International Advisory Committee (iac) whose mandate is to provide the Institute with a strategic direction, setting out priorities and establishing new action lines to allow fulfillment of the Institute’s strategic goals with special emphasis on the unattended care needs in the Latin American region. Our Board of Directors is responsible for appointing the members of the IAC, composed of distinguished experts in the health, environment and developmental fields, who are selected based on their professional background and their knowledge of the region. The IAC is integrated by a minimum of five and a maximum of fifteen members. It requires that all its members are from abroad or Mexican individuals not residing in Mexico. The international composition of the Committee is of great importance for the IAC, since it confers a broader perspective to the problems of the region and allows for the design of more effective platforms to tackle its challenges and needs. Moreover, the participation of these experts ensures that all our initiatives are structured in collaboration with other entities, thereby generating solutions of higher impact, certainty and long–term sustainability.
